The story of Mrs. Talbot's starts with a celebration...a birthday celebration!  My husband was approaching his 40th birthday and I wanted to throw him a festive party with lots of friends and family to help 'ease his passage'!  My dilemma was "How would I find the money to pay for the celebration I had planned?!"  Hmmm....

I had been making delicious vinaigrette dressings and spiced pecans for my family and friends from old family recipes for quite a while.  I decided that if I started bottling and selling some of my creations that I could earn, over the course of the upcoming months leading to my husband's birthday, enough money to throw a party!  The plan was simple...my confidents supported the idea...now to execute!

I diligently started 'mass producing' my famous apple vinaigrette, and spiced pecans out of my kitchen.  My husband thought my entrepreneurial spirit was a great idea, although maybe a little of a surprise since I was expecting my  second child at the time!  I started selling my dressing and pecans right out of my kitchen and other local New Orleans' area locations.    will never forget standing in my kitchen, 8 months pregnant, stirring pans of spicy pecans late at night because I had orders to fill the next morning!

Needless to say, my husband's party was a huge success but I couldn't stop there!  Mrs. Talbot's Tasty Foods had taken on a life of its own and I had definitely caught the entrepreneurial bug!  My husband encouraged me to branch out and work to bring Mrs. Talbot's products to locations around the United States.  It was time to get serious and that's what I did!

Several years later, Mrs. Talbot's gourmet vinaigrettes and pecans can be found in grocery and speciality shops around the nation and our network continues to grow.  We pride ourselves on providing all natural, delicious products that can be used in a variety of different ways.  Thank you for your ongoing support of Mrs. Talbot's...we couldn't do it without you!
